Dr. Orffa Masso, DDS

Dr. Orffa Masso is a compassionate, highly skilled third-generation dentist dedicated to providing exceptional care to her patients. Originally born in Bogotá, she moved to the United States at a young age and grew up in New York, where her passion for dentistry took root. Continuing a long family tradition—her father and grandfather were both dentists—Dr. Masso proudly carries the legacy forward. Today, she and her daughter, a fourth-generation dentist and endodontist practicing in North Carolina, keep the family tradition alive. The two speak almost every day, often “talking shop” and sharing their clinical experiences.

Dr. Masso earned her dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry, one of the oldest dental schools in the country. As one of the very few women in her graduating class, she distinguished herself through academic excellence, perseverance, and leadership. Her commitment to lifelong learning led her to pursue an intensive 300-hour post-doctoral program in Implant Dentistry at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. This advanced training encompassed anatomy, microbiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, physiology, anesthesia and pain control, dental materials, oral rehabilitation, implants, osseous surgery, and both fixed and removable prosthetics. This comprehensive background contributes to the exceptional level of clinical skill and precision she brings to her practice every day.

​Early in her career, Dr. Masso had the privilege of training for two years under the renowned Dr. Richard Thomas Conlin, whose philosophy of light force orthodontics emphasizes treating malocclusions with gentle, biologically harmonious forces. She also completed hands-on advanced implant training with Dr. Arun K. Garg, a highly respected authority in implantology. These formative experiences helped shape her clinical excellence and reinforced her belief that dentistry is a constantly evolving field. Dr. Masso firmly embraces lifelong learning and continues to seek new knowledge, techniques, and innovations to provide the highest standard of care for her patients.

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Masso is an avid world traveler who loves exploring new cultures with her family. She has visited numerous countries—including Australia, England, France, Thailand, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Bali, Fiji, and Germany, among many others. Patients who ask her about her travels will often discover she is already planning her next adventure.
