At Aesthetic Smiles by Design, we are committed to serving our patients. For the past decade, we have been played an integral role in the Miramar community by providing the highest quality dental care while working with our patients to make it as pleasant, affordable, and fulfilling as possible.
We are a family practice, started by Dr. Masso, her sister Liliana, and her husband Jesus. We consider our patients family here and treat them with the upmost compassion and respect. We believe this is why so many of our patients have been with us for years and continually send us their friends and loved ones.
In addition to General Dentistry, we have a highly qualified team of specialists who practice solely within Dental Hygiene, Periodontology, and Orthodontics. During your consultation, we will design a unique treatment plan to address your dental concerns. Our team can then work together to make sure that you look and feel your best!

ORAL SURGERY
Oral surgery treats a wide range of diseases and conditions. The following are procedures provided to our patients by our specialist.
-
Extraction of Teeth: the removal of a natural tooth due to decay, disease, overcrowding or trauma. Our dentists will carefully walk you through the necessary procedure for your surgery. Your comfort and wellbeing is our number one priority.
-
Dental Implants: when permanent teeth are lost or must be extracted, a dental implant can be a great option to replace a single tooth, several teeth, or to support a full set of dentures.
-
Anesthetics: depending on the intensity of a given procedure, our dentists may utilize an analgesic, local anesthetic injections, nitrous oxide, and oral conscious sedation.

Most dental cleanings are performed by a hygienist. It all begins with a comprehensive exam of your entire mouth where the hygienist will assess your oral hygiene.

You might ask: "What is the hygienist looking for?"
-
Gum damage & inflammation
-
Tooth decay
-
Open abscesses
-
Oral infection
-
Broken teeth
After the initial exam, the hygienist will remove plaque and tartar using a Cavitron Ultrasonic Scaling Unit. Your teeth will then be polished with a high-powered electric brush using a special solution that gently scrubs your enamel. Next, your hygienist will floss deep between your teeth, and locate any potential trouble areas of bleeding gums. Finally, your mouth will be rinsed thoroughly to get rid of any debris.

What you can do to improve your visit:
-
Brushing and flossing stop plaque from building up and hardening into tartar

COSMETIC DENTISTRY

Cosmetic dentistry can improve the health, function, and appearance of a smile for a lifetime. We offer several cosmetic options such as, white fillings, teeth whitening, veneers, braces, and crowns. It is important to first have a healthy smile before starting any cosmetic treatment, but we promise to work with you to get you the healthy and beautiful smile you deserve.
-
White Fillings: also known as tooth colored fillings, these are fillings that restore and mimic the natural appearance of tooth enamel. In addition to restoring fractured or decayed teeth, white fillings can also be used to change the size, color, and shape of teeth (ex. closing gaps, repairing chips).
-
Teeth Whitening: stained teeth can be made whiter through teeth whitening. Your dentist will recommend the whitening treatment that is best for you. Tooth whitening can be an in-office (chairside) whitening treatment or a take-home whitening kit. Materials used to whiten your teeth are hydrogen peroxide based.
-
Veneers: a veneer is a custom made layer of composite or porcelain material bonded to your natural teeth to improve aesthetics and protect the tooth from damage. Cosmetically, veneers can be used to cover spaces, poorly shaped and stained teeth.
-
Braces: align and straighten teeth and fix underbites, overbites, and other malocclusions. Our board certified orthodontist will plan your treatment carefully after an initial consultation. In addition to traditional metal wired braces, other options are available. Lingual braces are bound to the back of the teeth, making them externally invisible. We also provide our patients with the option of clear removable aligners like © Invisalign, and clear ceramic brackets whenever possible.
-
Crowns: a crown is a good option when a veneer or a filling is not enough. Sometimes teeth require full coverage for protection, closing of spaces, building up of a tooth, or better retention. Crowns are custom made to look like natural teeth.
